Dear Santa, Love A Beauty Student

Hello again everyone, this months blog is written by junior student Daira Guerra. Daira is a vibrant and talented student who has a passion for this business and a passion to shop. Those two combined make her an expert on the hottest products on the market so who better to give us gift giving advice for the holidays!

Well folks, we are officially on the countdown to Christmas! As a hairstylist, make up artist and skin care specialist I must say we don't really care too much for turtle doves or a partridge in a pear tree! In order to help you be a great gift giver this year allow me to suggest a few items that can put a smile on your loved ones face.

Let's begin with the hottest trend among hairstylists. The Chi Touch Screen blow dryer. This blow dryer is made of a smooth material for a great feel on the hands. It's features include a quiet motor, ceramic heater, and Chi's infrared technology. It works well to hydrate hair and eliminate frizz. The touch home screen has buttons that will allow you to change the speed, the ion settings and the temperature setting to suit different hair types for a flawless finish. This can be found at Ulta.com for the cost of $199.95.

To satisfy a makeup artist wish, grab the new Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. This palette contains beautiful hues of pinks and purples. The 12 colors can be combined with each other or with the hues on the other 2 Naked series to create gorgeous faces. There are eight shimmery shadows and three matte colors. The palette provides you with a free sample of potion primer to help pigmented color shine and last. It also comes with a double ended application brush for easy application. Look for it on UrbanDecay.com for the cost of $52.00

Lastly, help a skin care specialist take care of their own skin by gifting them with Carol's Daughter Almond Cookie Shea Souffle. This skin lotion  provides great relief to dry skin without feeling heavy or thick on the skin. It is made with coconut, grapeseed oil to moisturize and soften skin and Vitamin E to aid in our daily fight against aging. It carries the scent of Tonka beans and Vanilla. In my opinion, the best thing about this product is the fact that it contains NO paraben, petroleum or mineral oil. This wonderful product can be purchased at Carolsdaughter.com. The regular price ranges from $13.50-$18.00.

Those are my favorite products for this year's Christmas season. Be sure to check them out and surprise a loved one with any of these. I am sure you will get many smiles and hugs. After all, it is better to give than receive.

Thank me later :o)
